Why us

The Bank Safety Deposit Centre is a state-of-the-art safety deposit centre housed in the old Barclays Bank building in Great Barr, Birmingham.

The Bank SDC offers safe storage of valuable items including cash, jewellery, important documents, memorabilia and portable hard drives etc. We offer the highest grade in security including a certified EN1143-1 Graded bank Vault with electronic time locks, Biometric technology including facial recognition and fingerprint access.

The finest digital CCTV recording system which is monitored externally and is linked to 24 hour Police response. We are conveniently located near junction 7 of the M6 and are open 6 days a week.

The Bank SDC is the only dedicated safety deposit centre in Birmingham to be Certified Members of the Safety Deposit Association (SDA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We are proud to hold the highest endorsement from the SDA of Gold accreditation awarded for our excellent facility and security. You can rest assured we keep up-to-date with all necessary regulations and recommendations ensuring the safety of your box contents.

Our Facility offers State-of-the-art protection with Biometric access and 24-hour monitoring. We offer peace of mind with our certified EN1143-1 bank graded secure vault which has been here for 50 years. Furthermore in Partnership with the market leading Safety deposit box insurance firm Ellerton Knight, we can offer insurance cover up to £500,000 per box and are pleased to be able to offer exclusive and bespoke safety deposit box insurance policies including wear cover which covers your valuables even when you’re away from The Bank SDC.
